Denver-based LWG Capital Automotive Fund makes Grease Monkey International Headquarters buy
Announcement for Release on: October 31, 2016
(Greenwood Village, CO) Leeds West Groups (LWG) is pleased to announce the real estate acquisition of Grease Monkey International Corporate Headquarters building at 7450 E Progress Place in Greenwood Village, Colorado as their future corporate home.
LWG currently owns and operates Big O Tires, Midas, and SpeedeeOil locations in ten states throughout the United States. LWG currently is the second largest operator of Midas locations, and the 18th largest aftermarket auto group as a whole with over five hundred employees in the United States.
The Grease Monkey International Corporate Headquarters office complex was chosen based on the need for a location that was large enough to accommodate the company’s expected growth trajectory over the next thirty-six months, while also having an automotive specific set up and history. With three brands, fifty-five locations nation-wide, and aggressive expansion plans on the horizon, the newly acquired headquarters adds the space needed today and into the future for the company over the next five years.
“I am extremely enthusiastic with the commitment we are showing to the automotive aftermarket franchise sector with this acquisition of the new LWG automotive group specific headquarters, which fully highlights LWG’s commitment to this growth pattern we are currently on. We are truly a Colorado based company with a National footprint and this sets up LWG very well for our expected growth patterns over the next thirty-six months, while showing our commitment to always being a Colorado based organization.” – Judd Kyle Shader, CEO
The official building acquisition closed on October 31, 2016. The sale price, acquisition cost, and details are not being disclosed at this time. Grease Monkey International will lease back the location for an undisclosed amount of time before they move, with LWG fully moved into the new space by the summer of 2017.
